摘要
This paper reports a novel synthetic route for the production of porous silicon oxides (silica) by means of the sol-gel technique using tetraethylorthosilicate (TEOS) as silicon source and glycerol (Gly) and glycerol monostearate (ME) as templates, which have low cost and wide commercial availability. The so-obtained silicas have many interesting porous characteristics for potential applications in heterogenous catalysis: specific surface area (BET method) of 736.3 m(2)/g, total porous volume of 0,41 cm(3)/g and pore size narrows distribution (BJH method) around 36 angstrom
