摘要
Tube spinning process is considered to be an effective process for fabricating thin wall cylindrical parts with precision tolerances. In this research, the influence of major parameters of the thermomechanical tube spinning process such as preform thickness, percent of thickness reduction, rotational speed and feed rate, solution and aging treatment on the external diameter and hardness of 2024 aluminum are considered. Results of experimental evaluation are analyzed by variance analysis and a mathematic model for predicting external diameter and hardness is obtained. Finally using this model, input parameters for optimum production are achieved.
