摘要
Security of hazardous material(HAZMAT) shipments is a growing concern for government and carriers. The paper propose an integrated dispatching decision platform for solving HAZMAT transportation as a global solution of the problem. The platform take advantage of the technique of Geographic Information System (GIS), Global Position System(GPS) General Packet Radio Service (GPRS) and their integration. The platform can implement multipurpose function such as optimal routes plan, locating the incident site, transportation monitoring, incident processing, information sharing. Therefore, the platform provides a feasible technology framework for effective HAZMAT transportation management.
