摘要
Recurrent respiratory papillomatosis is a rare intractable benign disease with a bimodal age distribution. We present a rare case of malignant transformation of juvenile-onset recurrent respiratory papillomatosis in a 19-year-old pregnant woman, who was found to have a right upper lobe mass and cavitary nodules bilaterally that were biopsy proven to be node-negative, multifocal squamous cell carcinoma. In her second trimester, she underwent video-assisted thoracoscopic right upper lobectomy and middle lobe lateral segmentectomy, followed by left lower lobe segmentectomy 0 months later. Recovery was uneventful, and she remains disease-free 1 year following both resections. (C) 2019 by The Society of Thoracic Surgeons
