Surface plasmon-polaritons II. Scattering by metallic nanoparticles

摘要
We show how the presence of nanoparticles strongly affects the propagation of surface plasmon-polaritons. In resonance, part of their energy is scattered in a privileged direction. This new result is compared to recent theoretical calculations. Moreover, hemispherical elastic surface plasmon-polariton scattering will be shown, and specific features that result from the presence of nanoparticles are discussed.
