摘要
The present study problematized and reflected on the dense description, time and involvement. Considering that these are three fundamental categories for those who intend to carry out an ethnographic research. In order to reach this objective, the technical methodological bibliographical procedure was used, since it directs the researchers in the gathering, delimitation and analysis of significant references about the different themes problematized by science. It is inferred that a study of ethnographic character contemplates in its development, both methodological and epistemological assumptions, which must be reflected and understood by the researcher, in order to justify their theoretical positions and options. After analyzing the three categories, it was concluded that they are interdependent variables, in which time is a significant element, but must be seen as something dynamic and symbolic, since there is a need to report the facts beyond the initial appearances (dense descriptions) and mainly as free as possible, which does not mean believing in neutrality, but rather in the need for objectivity in the researcher's posture.
