摘要
Methods of electric field measurement, based on nonlinear optics phenomena, are an interesting alternative to classical measurement methods. The Kerr effect is one of these phenomena. Liquids characterized by large Kerr constant, have unfortunately high permittivity, which makes them useless in measurement method proposed by authors. An investigation on electro-optic liquids was performed to find a liquid with relatively large Kerr constant and small permittivity. The liquid found in the researches, called "L1," will be used in measurement setup.
