摘要
An adaptive gamut mapping algorithm based on image content by using the image gamut as the original color gamut to match the reproduction medium was carried out in this paper. The gamut mapping algorithm can avoid the problem of the gamut difference between original medium and the image which will result in bad gamut mapping performance through making full use of the image information. Experiment result shows that the adaptive gamut mapping algorithm is adaptive in keeping lightness contrast and in reducing the distortion of color chroma. When compared to the traditional algorithms based on medium gamut, the adaptive gamut mapping algorithm has a better performance on color reproduction.
