The design and simulation for intelligent traffic signal control system

摘要
As the resource of the development of industry and business in recent years, the number of vehicle increases very fast, and the road system can not match the need. This makes the society pay for the wasting time and lets the air quality get worse. So we design the Intelligent Traffic Control Decision System to evaluate the effect of new traffic control theory. In this paper, we use the control theory of variable signal timing. The system is run in node control if the traffic flow is in normal condition and the system will be changed to network control when the flow is too heavy. We use Visual C++ to implement the ITCDS simulation system and then compare with other systems. Experimental result shows that our system, variable signal timing, has a better effect than other previous systems.
