摘要
This paper reviews the existing status of maintaining power quality in a deregulated electricity market environment. It examines the existing power quality regulations used in various countries around the globe and compare their relevance and effectiveness. Two market-driven methodologies for controlling power quality in a deregulated electricity market environment are proposed. The first method is based on the control of emissions from polluting loads, while the second seeks to provide incentives to minimize the occurrence of some unavoidable disturbances or to lessen the ensuing impacts. Various implementation issues are also discussed.
