摘要
Nucleotide and deduced amino acid sequence of Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki phosphatidylinositol-specific phospholipase C is reported. The preenzyme consists of 329 and has a leader peptide of 31 residues, The calculated molecular weight of the mature protein is 34196. Alignment with the PI-PLC of B. thuringiensis (5) and B. cereus (12) shows seven and two amino acid substitutions, respectively. The residues directly involved in catalysis and substrate binding are highly conserved.
