摘要
Determination of the remaining lifetime of power apparatus is very important to preserve the availability of electric power during the operating period. One of the important equipment in electrical distribution at offshore area is subsea power cable. There are several methods for the remaining lifetime estimation of the subsea power cable. The previous research mostly used the corrosion and abrasion factor to predict the remaining life of subsea power cable. In this paper, the variables used to predict the remaining life of subsea power cable is the existence of partial discharge in XLPE and historical data of cable failure. This paper explains three methods for prediction of the remaining life of subsea power cable, those are linear regression, degradation case, and aging assessment.
