摘要
An empirical mode decomposition wavelet detector(EMD-WD) to low signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) is proposed for ultra wide bandwidth (UWB) signal. We can construct a new signal space including the IMF and their composition, the characteristic of signal is hiddened. in every component. In order to lower the level of SNR required for successful detection,we proposed using empirical mode decomposition(EMD) to denoise in advance, and then using wavelet methods to detect the using signal later. Using the real UWB radar as experimental data, the receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curves simulation demonstrated that EMD-WD is superior to pure wavelet detector.
