New additions to the flora of vascular plants of Kazakhstan arc presented in an article. The article contains an information on the distribution of 16 taxa from the genus Potentilla L. collected in the territory of the republic. For the first time, 5 species are indicated for the flora of Kazakhstan: P crebridens Juz., P X angarensis Popov, P penniphylla Sojak, P tergemina Sojak, P thuringiaca Bernh. cx Link. Five species are new to the flora of "Altvn-Emer State National Natural Park: P asiatica (Th. Wolf) Juz., P evestita Th. Wolf, P hololeuca Boiss. ex Lehm., P nivea L. nom. cons.. P thuringiaca Bernh. ex Link and P turkestanica Sojak. Six new species were found in the Tarbagatai ridge, and two species in the Dzungarian Alatau. For P crebridens Juz. and P chionea SotA, we specified the western and southern borders of the distribution area. For each species we state herbarium label quotation and comments about its relationship and distribution area.
