EXPERIMENTAL STUDY ON THE CRYSTALLIZATION OF ANHYDROUS SODIUM SULFATE IN AN MSMPR CRYSTALLIZER

Results are presented of experimental investigations on the kinetics of crystallization of anhydrous sodium sulfate. The measurements were made in a laboratory evaporative installation containing a 1 dm(3) crystallizer. The linear crystal growth and effective nucleation rates have been estimated from the population density plot using the MSMPR model. The correlations between kinetic parameters of the crystallization, supersaturation, magma density and specific power input (or the stirrer speed) are derived from the experimental data.
