摘要
A thermodynamic analysis of the graphite -> diamond transformation during the synthesis of diamond polycrystals is performed. It is established that the critical nucleus size decreases as the pressure increases, being 2.3 nm for p = 12 GPa. It is established when studying the crystal structure of diamond polycrystals that their block size (coherent scattering region (CSR)) is independent of the synthesis pressure and exceeds the block size of the starting graphite. It is shown that the features for martensite transformation in metals and alloys are unobservable during the synthesis of diamond polycrystals.
