摘要
in the electrical power industry large high voltage power equipment are being used. Because of the significant technical and economical impact, the performance of these components is very important. Therefore, before delivery to the end user, each single component is usually tested to verify the required quality. This is carried out with the so called factory acceptance tests (FAT). During these tests different measurement systems are being used. This paper describes the overall procedure of the verification, including the traceability of the measuring systems and performance evaluation of the tests, in order to assure the quality of the equipment tested and the reproducibility. One example is given for a FAT-procedure in an external independent laboratory. Another example explains the FAT-procedure performed in the laboratory of the manufacturer of the equipment, where the tests are witnessed by an independent inspector/specialist. The verification of the calibration and performance of the used measurement systems are essential for the overall quality of the tested power equipment.
