The death of New Labour was announced very publicly in the autumn of 2010; its muse, or alter ego, the Third Way, on the other hand, seemed to have slipped away unnoticed. This article takes the form of an obituary of the Third Way - a partial biography and retrospective assessment of its provenance, influences and significance - which can also serve as an introduction to the Third Way in Britain.
