Designer Localized Surface Plasmons on Corrugated Ring with a Slit

摘要
Electronically controlled multipolar designer localized surface plasmons (LSPs) are demonstrate at the microwave frequencies. It has been shown that ultrathin corrugated rings loaded with slits are able to support LSPs modes originating from the Fabry-Perot resonances. By mounting active components across the slits in the corrugated ring, electronic switchability of designer LSPs modes have been demonstrated. These elements may form the basis of efficient plasmonic circuits and arrays, opening up a new avenue to create highly integrated programmable plasmonic circuits at microwave and terahertz frequencies.
