摘要
Strain rate effect of 5083 aluminum alloy was investigated at various strain rates using the split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB). The dynamic stress-strain curves of this alloy were obtained at various strain rates ranging from 1000 s(-1) to 3000 s(-1). The dynamic experimental results show that 5083 aluminum alloy has no obvious strain rate effect. The influence of strain rate, the specimen size and final stress strain levels on the stress-strain curves has been discussed to emphasize the importance of those factors in SHPB tests to obtain reliable experimental results.
