Analysis on the Status Quo of and Challenges to the Construction of China's Soft Power

Using Joseph Nye's soft power theory, especially the three dimensional chess game model, we, in this article, discussed the urgent need to construct China's soft power, analyzed the status quo of and the challenges to the construction of China's soft power. Beijing consensus is the main source of China's soft power and there are still several obvious problems standing in the construction way, such as the less modernization of traditional culture, the lack of universal value and obvious domestic problems over which measures should be taken to overcome.
