High temperature compressive flow behavior of a Mo-Si-B solid solution alloy

摘要
A Mo-Si-B solid solution alloy was evaluated in compression at 1000 degrees C and 1200 degrees C and its response is compared to those of pure Mo and a two-phase Mo-Si-B alloy. The solid solution strengthening capacity of Si is confirmed and the role of the matrix in strengthening the two-phase alloy is elucidated. (c) 2005 Acta Materialia Inc. Published by Elsevier Ltd.
