Polymeric nanocomposites based on gold-nanoparticles

摘要
Gold nanoparticles of regular shape have been obtained by thermal decomposition of AuSC12H25 molecules dissolved in different amorphous polymers. In particular, the formation of triangular nano-platelets has been observed using poly(vinyl acetate) and poly(methyl methacrylate) as particle growth medium. Whereas, when polymers with less-bonding side-groups were used (e.g., poly(vinyl alcohol), polystyrene), the gold nanoparticles did not develop a regular shape during their growth.
