摘要
The high resolution range profile (HRRP) is an important feature for automatic target recognition (ATR). However, it is very time-consuming to generate accurate range profiles of electrically large and complex targets. In this paper, we propose a fast range profile simulation approach that firstly calculates the scattering fields of targets with the shooting and bouncing ray (SBR) method, then assigns weights to fields of different frequencies according to specific radar signal and its match filter, and finally obtains the range profile by the inverse Fourier transform. Various examples involving canonical and complicated objects are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed method to accurately generate the radar range profiles.
