摘要
Cloud computing is currently considered the most important trend in information and communication technologies and promises IT resources only if we have a network and a connection, and if they are really needed. Rent storage, processing power and software over the Internet, gives companies the opportunity to pay IT services depending on the size, length of use and number of users. Companies save costs and become more flexible. Cloud computing allows companies to focus on its core business. They can work more efficiently offer higher quality and expand their competitive advantage. These services are currently offered especially by the large international corporations such as Google, Amazon, IBM and Microsoft. Cloud computing opens up new opportunities for individual companies and for Romania. To take advantage of these opportunities industry, government and academia have to act quickly and collectively. The majority of medium-sized enterprises is highly skeptical about cloud computing. The main argument against cloud is called fear of poor data security on the Internet.
