A Low Noise X-band Frequency Synthesizer for 5G Applications

摘要
This work mainly develop a low noise X-band frequency synthesizer for 5G applications. A novel self-mixing technique is proposed for avoiding local pulling effect form the power amplifier (PA). The implemented X-band frequency synthesizer achieves a wide operating range of 8.8 similar to 9.6 GHz with very low phase noise of -83 dBc/Hz and -118 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz and 1 MHz offset frequency, respectively.
