CFD Analysis of Turbulent Mixing Characteristics of Passive Scalar Inside a Micro Gas Combustor

摘要
In this paper the multiple jet flow used in micro gas combustor for MGT (micro gas turbine) is investigated. For the study, a cylindrical confined geometry is selected with fuel inlet in the center of the cylinder and six annularly distributed air inlet. The complex flow pattern formed downstream of the flow is analyzed for three different configuration, which shows different mixing pattern. The result confirms that turbulent mixing can be accelerated by complex flow using jets. The fuel jet core plays vital role in turbulence mixing and flow recirculation.
