摘要
The motivation and new tendency hidden in the representation of the large-scale sports stadiums is thoroughly dug from form representation, structure representation, architectural symbolization and other aspcets through the analyses of the large-scale sports stadiums. Also, the contingency and inevitablity of the tendency is revealed through the discussion of the modem aesthetic trends in order to provide a source of reference to the creation of sports stadiums in contemporary China. Sports stadiums are the symbol of era development and progress and space formation along with morphological language serve as the sign of its creation. As structure technology increasingly matures and new techniques come into being and develop rapidly and vigorously in the new century, sports stadiums cry for new aesthetic conception and intense individuality representation and they should rush out of the conventional design which treats function and structure as the first factor. Under this situation, a number of brand new sports stadiums with great sense of times spring up, whose morphology and space formation, to some degree, demonstrate the developing tendency of China's current society and the aesthetic demands of modern people. Therefore, these sports stadiums have great value of thorough study.
