摘要
Firstly, I would like to thank FAPERJ - Foundation for Research of the State of Rio de Janeiro, through the Pro-Science, for supporting and sponsoring this research. This research investigates the participation of the urban planning of cyberspace in the implementation of Community Networks Teaching and Research (Redecomep) in Brazil. The aim is to reveal what were the strategic actions of public policies for the implementation of Redecomep in Brazilian cities. This work required the following methodological research: a) literature b) research sources, public records and sites-web c) studies and mapping of metropolitan networks; d) interviews with network managers. To demonstrate how Redecomep was constructed, this article was divided into three parts: 1. Little recent history of the formation of academic and technological networks; 2. The planning of community networks for education and research (Redecomep) 3. Public policy and strategic deployment of territorial Redecomep in Brazilian cities. This work was revealed as the drafting of the largest network of community education and research in Latin America.
