摘要
Cracking is usually present in concrete as a result of the mechanical and environmental actions or often of their combination. It has been realized that cracks can significantly accelerate the ingress of chlorides into concrete since they provide additional flow channels and allow more chlorides to penetrate. The objective of this paper is to quantify the diffusion coefficient of chloride through cracks by numerical method with help of the available experimental results from literatures. The investigated crack widths range from 20 to 600 mu m covering the data in test study. The dependence of the diffusion coefficient of chloride along crack is numerically determined by the trial and error method, which is applied to samples with one parallel or tapered (V-shaped) crack to confirm the reliability.
