摘要
This paper aims at quantifying the lifecycle environmental impacts of the poly silicon-made solar cells. The environmental profile of the entire lifecycle of solar cells was firstly established from the input-output inventory data through literature reviews and previous studies. Then based on BEPAS (Building Environment Performance Analysis System), the data was classified, characterized and conveyed to a single WTP (willingness-to-pay) value. In addition, a contrastive analysis with thermal power generation was implemented, and the result reveals that the environmental impacts of generating the same amount of power by solar cells is only a quarter of the thermal power.
