摘要
The catalytic activity of gold nanoparticles in carboxylic acid-containing polymer microgels can be enhanced by simply bubbling with CO2 gas, or adding salts of Hg2+, Pb2+, or Cd2+, making the catalytic activity comparable or even superior to that of free gold nanoparticles. This is plausibly achieved by altering the gold-polymer interface interaction. kinetic studies were carried out on the model gold-catalyzed reduction of 4-nitrophenol, nitrobenzene, and potassium hexacyanoferrate(III) by NaBH4 in order to better understand the catalytic process.
