Cluster characterization in urban macrocellular environments with ray-tracing

摘要
This paper presents cluster parameters from 3D ray-tracing simulations at 2GHz in short range macrocellular environments. Clusters are extracted from the simulated data using a new automatic algorithm. Important statistics of the clusters are carried out: i.e. total number of clusters, distribution of the cluster power, number of dominant clusters, relation between number of BS-clusters and number of MS-clusters and life time of a cluster along a measurement route. The obtained results will help to parameterize cluster based double-directional channel models.
