摘要
The implementation of filter technologies for wireless base stations is discussed. The filters used in wireless base stations are coaxial cavity resonator filters and dielectric filters. Dielectric resonator (DR) filters are expected to have a significant share in overall wireless base stations, and at least 25% reduction is expected in the cost of dielectric resonator materials over the next five years. The major costly items of DR resonator filters are assembly, integration and tuning, however assembly and alignment process could be relaxed by relying heavily on tuning. The grinding of resonator before assembly is very time-consuming and costly.
