摘要
AS the mobile data volume is experiencing an enormous growth, ultra dense network (UDN) is considered as one of the key techniques to meet the user requirements. In the scenario with densely-deployed access points (APs), edge caching technology could reduce the backhaul links traffic by caching files at APs. Considering these APs with limited storage capacity, an appropriate proportion of a file may be stored into the AP. While these numerous APs could provide users with more convenient access, they may also increase the system energy consumption. Then AP sleeping strategy could be introduced and discussed accordingly. In this paper, we propose a user connection matrix-based AP sleeping (UCMAS) algorithm. Each AP will randomly store a part of each file. We establish the connection state matrix for users and the active APs in the local area. Then the expected transport energy consumption of the APs for one user could be calculated. We model the energy consumption into a two-dimensional problem and find a solution to optimize it. The simulation results show that the system performance is improved.
