摘要
A new rf magnetic measurement system is proposed to detect complex permeability of magnetic films, of which the measurable frequency range has been demonstrated but not limited to 10MHz-26GHz. The system is based on a simple microwave generator and lock-in detection set up. The signal to noise ratio is enhanced by the lock-in detection technique. Measurements of ferromagnetic resonance and complex permeability on a thick FeGaB film (30nm) and an ultra-thin NiFe (2nm) were presented to demonstrated the wider frequency capability and higher signal to noise ratio as compared with the best available permeameter.
