Oxidation of 4-nitrotoluene by ozone in acetic anhydride in the presence of manganese sulfate

摘要
The reaction of 4-nitrotoluene oxidation with ozone in acetic anhydride in the presence of MnSO4 and sulfuric acid was studied. The main reaction product is 4-nitrobenzyl acetate, the yield of which is 63.2%. Based on an analysis of the experimental data, a mechanism of the catalytic ozonation of 4-nitrotoluene in acetic anhydride was proposed.
