High-nitrogen austenitic stainless steels with high strength and corrosion resistance

摘要
An alloy design model has been used to develop an austenitic stainless steel containing 25-28 wt.% Cr, 22 wt.% Ni, 6 wt.% MII, 4-8 wt.% Mo, and 0.6-0.9 wt.% N. The steel is produced by rapid-solidification po ruder metallurgy with subsequent consolidation by hot isostatic pressing. The steel exhibits high yield strength and corrosion resistance, both of which increase with increasing nitrogen content, yet high ductility nod impact strength are maintained when properly annealed.
