Influence of scandium on a structural state of Al-Zr alloys

摘要
The structure states of Al-0. 3 at. % Zr, Al-1.2 at. % Zr and Al-0. 3 at. % Zr-0.6 at.% Sc alloys rapidly quenched from a liquid state are investigated by the transmission electron microscopy and by the x-ray diffraction analysis. As revealed, the Sc-alloyed Al-Zr alloys crystallize ultrarapidly by the solid-solution type with formation of the solid solutions anomalously supersaturated by scandium and zirconium. In alloys quenched from 1400 degrees C, there is formation of regions with a nanocrystalline structure during the process of ultrarapid crystallization.
