摘要
We present results for approximations of induced currents of 2-D structures illuminated in transversal magnetic mode. The novelty of the work presented in this paper is the entire-domain higher-order approximation of the currents of 2-D structures of complex shapes and with pronounced sharp edges. Legendre polynomials are used as basis functions. The encountered integrals, with singular integrands, are calculated with high-precision using singularity-cancelation integration scheme. Compared to the low-order electromagnetic analysis, the presented approach provides two or three orders of magnitude larger dynamic range for the surface currents, and uses smaller number of unknown coefficients. Results for entire-domain analysis of 2D structure up to 400 wavelengths are presented.
