摘要
The utilisation of hydro power as a sustainable energy Source implies negative effects on river ecology, especially on river connectivity. Power generation based on these energy us is therefore regarded as being not consistent with the aims of the EU Water Framework Directive. Applying a river area strategy can combine the aims of power generation and sustaining the fish population within an river basin.
