摘要
This paper deals with the analysis of voltage stability of a power system. Modal analysis method that is based on the eigenvalue decomposition of a reduced Jacobian matrix can be used to examine voltage stability. This decomposition method is employed to obtain eigenvalues of the reduced Jacobian matrix. Eigenvalues are used to identify the most sensitive buses that can be dangerous for a power system operation and in this way it is possible to use remedial actions to maintain a power system in a safe state. A power flow solution from GLF program was utilized by JAVA based software to construct reduced Jacobian matrix and perform modal analysis.
