摘要
In this paper, a new time domain fast dipole method (TD-FDM) is proposed for solving time-domain magnetic field integral equations. The proposed scheme is the extension of the frequency domain fast dipole method (FDM) to the time domain. The principle is based on the Taylor series expansion of far fields. The computational complexity of TD-FDM scales as O((NsNt)-N-3/2) as opposed to O((NsNt)-N-2) for marching-on in-time (MOT) method. Here, N-s is the number of spatial basis functions and N-t is the number of the time steps. Numerical results about the electromagnetic scattering from perfect electric conductor (PEC) objects are given to demonstrate the validity and efficiency of the proposed scheme.
