INVESTMENT IMPACT ON COMPETITIVENESS OF SELECTED HOTELS

If hotel wants to keep or increase its competitiveness, it must correctly identify what it consists of. It is necessary to consider specific features of competitiveness due to hotel classification, location and investments. The aim of this paper is to identify competitiveness factors of hotels in Slovakia and identify influence of investment in selected hotels on their competitiveness. Relevant competitiveness factors of hotel were identified for different groups of hotels. We graded hotels due to class, location and realization of the investment. Data were processed by statistical methods. Pearson - Chi square test and Friedman non-parametrical were used in SPSS 18 software. The result of this survey is list of competitiveness factors of hotel in Slovakia sorted by their share on competitiveness and also analyze od investment impact on competitiveness of three hotels.
