摘要
The 'Environment and Health' course which was introduced as part of the general education curriculum at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia in year 2000, is multidisciplinary in nature. The course aims at developing students' understanding towards the interactions between man and environment; and how this relationship affects their health and well being. The purpose of this paper is to assess the effectiveness of this course in raising the students' levels of awareness and knowledge on environmental health issues. The findings from a pre-test and post-test assessment indicate that the level of awareness and knowledge have increased, especially with regard to familiar issues. (C) 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd.
