摘要
The v = 0, 1, 2, and 3, J = 1 - 0 SiO maser spectra of Mira have been observed with high phase resolution v over approximately 2.6 periods of the star. These observations represent the first reported monitoring of the v = 0 emission over multiple stellar periods. A time cross- correlation analysis indicates that the variations in the emission of the v = 1 and v = 0 states were coincident to 0.066 or less of a phase period. The variations of v v the v = 1 and v = 2 emissions were coincident to less than 0.033 of a phase period. The v = 0 emission generally had relatively low contrast between its maximum and minimum and had several relative maxima during a stellar period. The relative minima varied by vibrational state. The v = 3 emission was only observed once during these v observations, at a time when the v = 2 emission was near its absolute maximum. These observations further v constrain possible models of maser pumping.
