摘要
Aim of the study: The aim of the study was to observe the effectivity of the systematic applications of adequate rehabilitation after severe head trauma at the neurosurgical intensive care unit, and the outcome 3 and 6 months after the trauma. Method: The subject pool consisted 50 severy brain injured patients (Glasgow Coma Scale less than or equal to8 for more than 24 hours) were studied. After weaning from mechanical ventilation, early rehabilitative therapy was performed. Follow-up's were made after 3 and 6 months. Results and conclusion: Results of this model project show that already during intensive care treatment an early onset of rehabilitative therapy with positive influence for the outcome is possible.
