Synthesis and antimicrobial activity of new 6-amino-4-phenyl-1-(N-alkoxyphthalimido)-3-methyl-1,4-dihydro pyrano[2,3-c]pyrazole-5-carbonitriles

摘要
Some alkoxyphthalimide derivatives of 6-amino-5-cyano-4-aryl-1,4-dihydropyrano [2,3-c] pyrazoles (6) were synthesized by the reaction of aromatic aldehydes, malononitrile and 3-methyl-1-(N-alkoxyphthalimido-2-pyrazolin-5-ones) using triethylbenzylammonium chloride [TEBA] as catalyst in aq media. The reaction has the advantage of good yield, less pollution; ease of separation and of being environmental friendly. Synthesized compounds were characterized by elemental analysis, IR, H-1 NMR and mass spectral studies. These compounds show moderate to good antibacterial and antifungal activity.
