Modern solutions of composite structures containing timber in association with other materials

摘要
The composite structures made of materials with complementary mechanical features have been accustomed for a long time, the reinforced concrete being the most revealing sample. Associating the timber in the constructive domain has become preferment since the glued slide timber products, as we don't neglect the other traditional materials (reinforced concrete, steel, and so on) usually associated with timber in diverse exploiting domains. In the article are presented some remarkable solutions of making composite parts by mixing the timber with other materials: mixed timber-concrete flooring, used for new buildings or for consolidating patrimonial buildings, the consolidation of the timber beam endings of such old floors by the use of synthetic resins and glass fibbers, and also some solutions of making timber beams with metallic reinforcement for new buildings or for consolidation in case of linear parts of buildings in use.
