A mobile agent-based framework for intelligent performance measurement system

摘要
This paper presents the results of a project investigating models for measuring the competitiveness of manufacturing organisations. Underpinning the model is a framework of an XML-based intelligent performance measurement system with mobile-agent functions. The model was developed with a supporting database created from 105 manufacturing companies. It is novel in that it provides a platform for automated performance measurement systems. It is being proposed that with enhanced functionalities, the model could be integrated with existing Enterprise Information Systems(EIS), updated regularly in real-time and thus allowing organisations the possibility of instant performance evaluation based on process parameters.
